Staff Development
There are several ways in which TCI staff receives ongoing training. There are weekly case reviews, attended by administrative staff, school physicians, psychiatrists, clinicians, and instructional staff. It is here that the staff meets to discuss individual students' needs. In addition, there are monthly social skills planning meetings, in which staff members discuss issues related to teaching social skills in the classroom. Finally, the TCI clinical staff holds several clinical seminars throughout the year. These seminars address particular topics, including diagnostic issues, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, etc., as well as other topics, such as Therapy with children at TCI.
