TCI's Programs

Educational and Therapeutic Program Overview

TCI's Psycho-educational Program is successful because of its broad curricula and support services, including:
  • a multi-disciplinary approach
  • small class size
  • a student-to-staff ratio of 3 to 1 and when needed, 2 to 1 and 1 to 1
  • learning disabilities remediation
  • language therapy
  • behavioral management
  • social problem solving and social skill training
  • individual, group and family counseling
  • parent education and support groups
  • extracurricular activities
  • summer program
  • life skills program
  • career education programs
  • computer technology assisted instruction
  • community outreach
  • respite program

Central to our program is TCI's Social Development Curricula and Social Skills Curricula, based on the premise that children can avoid self-destructive behaviors later in life if they learn while they are young how to get along with others and cope with problems. Learning is achieved through demonstration and practice of the essential social and problem-solving skills needed to function successfully at school, at home and in the community.
