All About TCI
Our large, multi-disciplinary professional staff meets the unique needs of each student. Certified Teachers of the Handicapped, assistants, student interns and volunteers assure that the students are provided with the individualized instruction and attention they need. We provide our staff with a comprehensive professional development program, and each member is encouraged to take courses and workshops to keep abreast of new approaches and developments within his or her discipline. The instructional staff is supported by the school principal and two curriculum coordinators-supervisors. TCI teachers have been recognized as "Teacher of the Year" by the New Jersey Association of Schools and Agencies for the Handicapped (ASAH).
TCI is viewed as an innovator in the special education field, and serves as a training site for undergraduate and graduate students from New York University, Rutgers University, Seton Hall University, Kean University, Montclair State University and other local colleges and universities. Montclair State University designated our school as "Employer of the Year" for its outstanding training of college students.
